Born in 1960, Mr. Todd A. Blodgett is an American conservative Republican political writer, speaker, independent marketing consultant and author. After graduating from Drake University in 1983, he worked for U.S. Senator Roger W. Jepsen. Mr. Blodgett – a lifelong conservative and childhood friend of President Ronald Reagan – then became a member of the Reagan-Bush White House staff in 1985 where he served for two years.
In 1988, he worked on the Bush Presidential campaign before earning a reputation as a canny opposition campaign strategist and researcher whilst serving under RNC Clair Lee Atwater in the Republican National Committee, where he worked until 1991. The following year, Mr. Blodgett decided to leave the Committee, in favor of establishing advertising and marketing firm TAB Advertising, Inc., based in Washington DC.
In 2000, Mr. Blodgett returned to government work on a full-time basis, as a paid informant for the FBI and the JTTF (Joint Terrorism Task Force). During this period, working as a federal informant, he infiltrated and reported on some notorious far-right, white-supremist groups such as Neo-Nazi leaders, KKK members, fascist Skinheads, professional anti-Semites, and Holocaust deniers, across the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, and Europe. He was also a one-time co-owner and operator of Resistance Records, the world’s largest neo-Nazi music label.
Mr. Blodgett has worked with notable American far-right figures such as David Duke, William Pierce, Ed Fields, Don Black, Paul Hall, Jr., Richard Butler, Chris Temple and Willis Carto. He additionally employed British neo-fascist Mark Cotterill, founder of the American Friends of the British National Party (BNP). Other European racists Mr. Blodgett has worked with over the course of his career are Nick Griffin, John Tyndall, Steven Cartwright, and Richard Barnbrook.
In 2002, he finished his work for the FBI and began his work as an independent consultant within the advertising profession. To this day, he works as a marketing consultant, specializing in developing, purchasing, and licensing targeted lists of direct-to-consumer contact information.
Since 2012, Mr. Blodgett has been an advisor to successful political clients who sought election to the Iowa Senate, as well as for the offices of Cerro Gordo County Supervisor, County Recorder, County Treasurer, City Council, School Boards, Mayor, and the Iowa House of Representatives.
Since 2019, Mr. Blodgett has served as a trustee of the Bertha Stevens Charitable Foundation and has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Outing Club, a historic residential Co-Operative in Clear Lake, Iowa since 2021.
Mr. Blodgett, who is the author of a memoir of his time working for the FBI, “Republican Crackhead: An addict’s life in the FBI and DC’s Hoods, while infiltrating HATERS,” 2020, has recently been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who for his achievements throughout his illustrious career.
In his spare time, Mr. Blodgett, is a member of The U.S. Concealed-Carry Association, National Rifle Association, the Reagan Appointees Alumni Association, Ducks Limited, Iowa Gun Owners and the Outing Club.
